The conditions of sale, shipping conditions and return policies for purchases made through the Mediterranea website are listed below.

Terms of sale

Mediterranea makes available to all users the possibility of purchasing products handcrafted and made on request by Mediterranea via the Internet (hereinafter "Products"). These general conditions of sale ("General Conditions") are governed by the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree No. 206/2005 and subsequent amendments) and by the rules on electronic commerce (Legislative Decree No. 70/2003 and smi) and apply exclusively to the remote sale via the web of the Products shown on the Mediterranea website, in correspondence with which the "Buy" button is present,

Price

All Product Prices indicated on the Site are inclusive of VAT and are those currently in force on Mediterranea. In the event of VAT variations, included in the prices, we will be obliged to adapt to the legislation in force. If, due to unforeseeable inconveniences or technical failures independent of Mediterranea's will, the price indicated on the site should be manifestly lower than that actually applied to the goods offered, Mediterranea will contact the Customer without delay, who will be able to choose whether to pay the difference price and receive delivery of the goods or whether to obtain the immediate cancellation of the Order, with subsequent refund of the price paid.

Order

Purchase Orders must be placed online using the contact form on the Mediterranea website. In order to proceed with the compilation of the Purchase Order, the Customer can:

  • follow the instructions during checkout, accessing your personal cart and providing the necessary information for billing and shipping

  • access the Contacts section of the site to request contact by indicating your email address and the product concerned as a message, and then complete the purchase procedure with an operator

  • call the telephone number set up by Mediterranea and which can be consulted in the Contacts section of the site itself

Terms of payment

Payment for the Order must be made when the Order is forwarded to Mediterranea. Payment must be made online by Credit/Debit Card and/or PayPal, following the instructions on the Site itself. Payment by cash on delivery is not permitted.

Shipping conditions

Mediterranea offers different types of Transport and Delivery services for a fee by Carriers and specialized Operators, specially appointed, only in the Italian territory.

Price

The costs and characteristics of the solutions will be duly highlighted in the cart before payment and subsequently in the order confirmation. If the amount foreseen for the shipment is equal to zero, it is agreed that the expenses will be covered directly by the price of the ordered goods. It will be the Customer's responsibility to provide all the information necessary for the execution of the Service, as well as to verify that the information on the Order is correct and complete.

Delivery

The delivery of the purchased products will be made to the address indicated by the Customer only after the regular registration of the payment of the relative order.

The delivery of the products will be entrusted to a highly qualified express courier and carried out within 4 weeks throughout the Italian territory, as indicated in the product pages on the Mediterranea website.

Without prejudice to the foregoing, the delivery terms indicated by Mediterranea are to be considered purely indicative.

Return policies

In the event that, at the time of delivery, the external appearance of the package presents imperfections, the Customer must proceed with the opening of the package itself in the presence of the courier, to check the condition of the product contained therein. In the event that the product is damaged, or bearing obvious fractures, the Customer must detail in writing, on the delivery note, the description of how the package looked upon receipt and all the damage found and, if you wish to accept the goods , SIGN WITH RESERVE. If the courier refuses to wait for the parcel to be checked, the customer must SIGN WITH RESERVE; if despite everything the courier refuses to have the delivery note signed with reserve, we advise the customer to reject the goods, giving the reason for the refusal on the delivery slip. (partial delivery, incorrect address, damaged packaging).

An imperfection due to craftsmanship is not to be considered damage.

If it was not possible to find the anomaly in the presence of the courier, it will be necessary to forward the claim request via email to medi.terra.nea.hm@gmail.com inserting the wording "COMPLAINT for DAMAGED GOODS" in the related subject field and reporting the following information:

  • shipment data: no. transport document, document date;

  • the description of how the package appeared upon receipt and any damage found

After checking with the courier, we will inform the customer of the authorization to return the damaged material and subsequently the replacement material will be shipped.

Right of withdrawal

You have a period of 14 (fourteen) days to withdraw, without giving any reasons. The withdrawal period ends 14 (fourteen) days after receipt of the goods.

Within this period you must notify Mediterranea of your intention to withdraw from the contract in the ways illustrated below. The right of withdrawal is reserved exclusively for consumers, therefore you cannot exercise it if you represent a legal person or a natural person who acts for purposes related to any professional activity carried out.

The purchased products must be returned intact, undamaged and in their original packaging. The costs of returning the product will be at your expense. In any case, you will not incur any costs or penalties as a result of exercising the right of withdrawal.

In the event of a decrease in the value of the products resulting from handling other than that necessary to establish their nature and characteristics, e in the absence of the above elements, Mediterranea reserves the right not to accept the return or fail to fully refund the sums paid for the purchase.

To make a return request:

STEP 1 Communicate your intention to withdraw from the contract using the contact form on the Mediterranea website.

STEP 2 Following receipt of the communication of the exercise of the right of withdrawal, Mediterranea will send you, to the address indicated in the order or in the request for withdrawal, an email confirming receipt of the exercised withdrawal, as well as the code to be entered to identify the withdrawal, according to the methods indicated in the email.

STEP 3 With the code you can return the product. Remember that, with this return method, the shipping costs are at your expense.

STEP 4 Receive your refund from Mediterranea (excluding shipping costs incurred to return the product).

For purchases made by paying by credit card, the refund will be made by reversing the transaction directly to the credit card.

For purchases made through PayPal, the refund will be made by crediting your PayPal account.
